Worship at Dale Street

See our Services page for the regular schedule of services. For more details of services coming soon, see the What‘s on page.

Church Family Groups

Women’s Fellowship

The Women’s Fellowship meets each Monday afternoon at the church and has a varied programme including guest speakers, social activities and outings.

MIDIS

This ladies’ group meets on Tuesday evenings twice a month at the home of one of the members. The meeting is usually based round a talk or an activity in which all can take part. Husbands are welcome on special occasions.

Badminton Club

This group meets each Tuesday evening in the church hall for a few social games. It’s a good way to blow away the cobwebs and forget some of the problems of ‘normal’ life.

Mother and Toddler Club

On Friday mornings, there is an opportunity for mothers with pre-school children to meet each other in the church hall.

Prayer and Praise Breakfast

This group meets on alternate Saturdays at 8:30 am in the kitchen at Dale Street and start by sharing breakfast together .. cereals, coffee, croissants, fruit loaf, a wide variety of spreads and fresh fruit. Much reflecting and reporting about current experiences occurs - in fact so much that the toast frequently gets burnt. Currently there is a rota enabling everyone to lead if they wish. Each meeting has a different theme. Hymns old and new are sung, and faith is discussed in an informal way. Many people find it an oasis of calm at the end of a busy week and at the start of what might be a hectic weekend.

House Groups

Last Monday each month

7:30 pm

This group started as a class group of new church members in the 1980s. Over the years, people have come and gone but there is still a keen interest. The group has a bible study focus. Through it people find great strength in giving and feeling support for each other. Concerns are shared and good times are celebrated. In summer they enjoy a walk together.
First and third Tuesday each month

8:00 pm

The leadership of this bible study group is shared, and they focus on short blocks of study. Recently they have been examining Luke’s gospel. As this is quite long they are having a diversion (one of many!) to follow a study supplied by the Methodist Recorder.
Mondays

in term time

This is an informal group of mainly mums, some with pre-school children, who meet weekly. Recently they focussed on some of the Alpha Course material and sometimes they look at topical biblical themes. An individual may introduce a topic for discussion. They are a support for each other in bringing up children and even life in general.

Youth Organisations

Rainbow Guides Girls 5 - 8 Tuesday 5:30 pm
Beaver Scouts Boys 6 - 8 Friday 6:00 pm
Brownie Guides Girls 8 - 11 Tuesday 6:15 pm

Explorers will be found as young leaders in several of the junior sections.

Linked Organisations

Age Concern

Age Concern Leamington Spa run Lunch Clubs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in the hall at Dale Street. Volunteer drivers fetch and return members in a minibus and hot meals, coffee and tea are served. Members are occasionally entertained by groups of children from local schools.

NCH

Dale Street members are heavily involved with fund-raising events for this charity which helps parents and children. The autumn coffee morning with music and ‘Carols by Candlelight’ are long-established annual events.

Christian Aid

The house-to-house collections and the Mayor’s Charity Walk in May are both well supported by Dale Street.

Leamington Lifeline Alarm Trust

This local charity installs and maintains telephone alarm systems for old or disabled people in the neighbourhood. Each person is visited regularly by a volunteer who checks that the equipment is working properly. The officials and many of the volunteers are members of Dale Street church.

Also, see our Links page for details of these and other charities supported by our activities.
