Who We Are
We are lively and busy people welcoming anyone wishing to join us in worship, all sorts of family events, and in reaching out into the community.
We try to be friendly and inclusive in our welcome. Our events are to entertain and to provide fellowship and relaxation. Above all, we try to offer to God and to Jesus the worship they deserve, to sing praises and to pray for all those who are in need.
On this page you will find brief introductions to the groups whose activities happen regularly and to which you are very welcome. For information about any of them, please contact us.
Check on our prayer page to discover some of the ways in which we pray for others as well as for ourselves.
Care and safety are priorities and so Safeguarding, Data Privacy, Fire Procedures and other information can be found on the Building Use page.

Fellowship
Families – dads and tots
A group of fathers (and grandfathers)
of pre-school children bring them to Dale Street most Saturday mornings between
9.30 and 11.30.
They can compare notes over a bacon butty and tea or coffee while the children
play with an extensive range of toys.
Everyone – Come and create
This is a new group, starting in October 2018, for crafters of any age. It meets on the first Tuesday of every month from 7.30 – 9pm. You might be knitting, crocheting, quilting, writing poetry, card- making, candle- making, drawing, painting – in fact, anything you like. Make for yourself, make gifts for families, make for charities. Bring your own materials, Coffee, tea, cakes provided.

Operating as Dale Street Scout and Guide Group, thriving uniformed organisations are available for young people across the whole age range. They take part in all the activities associated with the Scout and Guide movement and produce their spectacular gang show, ‘Daley Sketches’, every two years. Action for Children Support Group
We organise and sponsor a series of very varied and lively events during each year, ranging from dances to posh teas, coffee and croissants and Christmas concerts. You will find reports of our activities on the archive page. We aim to give entertainment and enjoyment for all ages and we reach out into the local community. We also raise a good deal of money to further the work of this important Methodist charity.
Midis
This ladies’ group meets on Tuesday evenings twice a month at the home of one of the members. The meeting is usually based round a talk or an activity in which all can take part. Husbands are welcome on special occasions. The group joined in a celebratory meal to mark its 40th anniversary in September 2017.
Curry Night
A dozen or so men from Dale Street and other local Methodist churches meet at an Indian restaurant on a Friday evening every two months or so.
Ladies Night
This is an occasional night out at a local Italian restaurant.
Outreach
Friends of Homewood
The Methodist Church supports MHA
which provides care for older people – primarily through a group of Methodist
Homes throughout the country.
We have strong links with “Homewood”, the local Methodist Home in Leamington
Spa.
Friends of Homewood provide extra support for the residents through visits and
raising funds to enable the residents to receive occasional treats.
Leamington
Street Pastors
Dale Street provides volunteers, joining others from various local churches. The organisation exists to create a more harmonious and safe environment for those out and about on the town’s streets at night.
Also, see our Links page for details of these and other charities supported by our activities.
